The franchise Naruto It became a worldwide hit because it told a great story that included an impressive amount of world building. The franchise’s ninja world is packed with skilled and powerful characters, most of them hailing from one of the Five Great Shinobi Nations. The Village of the Hidden Mist is one of these nations, and it is located in the Land of Water.
The ninjas of the Mist Village tend to have an affinity for the water-style jutsu, but a significant number of them are also more than capable of using swords in combat. The Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist are considered to be the best sword ninjas in the village, each wielding one of the village’s seven mystical swords. Each of these blades has a unique skill and design, but some are better than others.
7 Kubikiribocho is basically a huge sword.
Zabuza was the first real threat Naruto faced, and he was certainly strong enough to take on several of the characters that appeared in Shippuden.. The Demon of the Hidden Mist was feared because it mastered the Silent Killing Technique, but its sword, Kubikiribocho, was just as dangerous.
X of Swords: All swords used by the X-Men, ranked
One Piece: All of Zoro’s swords, ranked by strength
This sword is known as the Executioner’s Blade, and it can use the iron in its victim’s blood to regenerate itself. In terms of its design, Kubikiribocho has the appearance of a huge broadsword the length of an adult human being. It also has a circle on the tip and a semicircle on the handle.
6 Kabutowari is just an ax attached to a great hammer
The history of the Ninja Wars was a bit complicated, but the fourth war was the only one that apparently involved each of the legendary swords of the Mist. The Kabutowari caused a great deal of damage during the war, despite being simply a giant ax connected to a huge hammer by a thin rope.
The Kabutowari may have a simplistic design, but it is a very strong weapon. It is said to be able to break through any defense because the wielder has to strike first with the ax before striking the rear with the hammer. The force and power of the hammer cause objects to break or shatter.
5 Nuibari is a big needle with thread
There were certain characters that Kakashi should have fought, but he ended up fighting various members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen during the war. Kushimaru Kuriarare was one of those swordsmen, and he wielded the Nuibari, which is basically a long needle with wire that acts like a thread.
Apparently this sword can go through anything, and then it can use its thread to sew things. The Nuibari can be used against individual opponents, but works best against groups, as it can pierce through multiple enemies and then sew them together to form bundles of corpses.
4 Kiba is a pair of twin blades that are arguably the sharpest in the series
Only a handful of Ninja of the Mist had what it took to become Mizukage, and Ameyuri Ringo was one of them. She was the only female member of the best generation of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, and wielded the twin swords known as Kiba.
These swords are enhanced with lightning, so they can produce lightning-based attacks, and their natural cutting power is significantly greater than that of a normal sword. They are considered the sharpest swords that exist, and in terms of their design, they are double-edged blades with spikes near their tips and hilts.
3 Shibuki is equipped with explosive tags
Out of all the swords, Shibuki is the only one that doesn’t feel like a real blade because its main purpose is to cause explosions. The blade is divided into two sides, one of which is a narrow edge for sword attacks.
The second side is a wide platform that contains a large scroll filled with explosive tags. The segments of this scroll detach when ignited, but only function when they come into contact with their target. This detachment feature was added to ensure that the wearer had sufficient time to escape the blast radius.
2 The Hiramekarei can have several forms
There are some characters that Sasuke never had a chance to fight, but he did have an encounter with Chojuro and his Hiramekarei. This sword has a strange, but interesting design, as it has a wide, flat blade with noticeable curves near its base. It has two handles connected by a rope and two holes near the tip.
The Hiramekarei is capable of storing chakra, and once an order is given, that chakra will coat the blade after being released from the holes. The sword can then take various forms, such as a hammer, a long sword or a pair of twin swords.
1 Samehada is a living and sensitive weapon
One of the harshest realities of being a Jinchuriki is having to fight powerful enemies like the Akatsuki. Kisame may have contributed to one of the Akatsuki’s biggest failures, but he still wielded a perfect sword to take on the Jinchuriki.
Samehada is considered the most terrifying of the seven swords, as it is a sentient creature capable of absorbing the chakra of anyone it cuts. As for its appearance, Samehada’s “blade” is made up of many downward-facing scales, and its tip is a large mouth full of sharp teeth. The sword can also transfer the consumed chakra to its owner and, if necessary, can fuse with the owner’s body.
