Boruto: Naruto Next Generations the anime adaptation takes a break from the events of the manga, which delves into some savage territory of the Ninja world, and it looks like the final episode’s cliffhanger will give fans an idea of the battles that will unfold in the near future for the latest iteration of Team 7. With the trio of Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki recently gaining a new ally in the form of Kawaki, the foursome have become the strongest ninja team in Konoha at present, and they will need all the strength they can muster with this new threat.
The anime series has taken the opportunity several times in the past to tell stories that never happened in the manga, which fans will normally refer to as filler, with these latest episodes falling into that category. One of the benefits of this tactic is not only allowing the manga series to produce more stories for the TV show to fit, but it also gives viewers the opportunity to dive into characters that might not have received so much spotlight in print. story that is published regularly in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump.
Twitter user Abdul_S17 captured the final moments of the final episode of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, which saw Team 7 attend the Land of Water ceremony, in part thanks to a new attack that is clearly the next big threat to Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki and Kawaki:

The official description for this latest episode, episode 233 of Masashi Kishimoto’s sequel series, reads:
“New Team 7 – with Kawaki its newest member – is tasked with escorting Katasuke to a ceremony in the Land of Water. Boruto is looking forward to seeing Kagura Karatachi, a shinobi from the Land of Mist whom he hasn’t seen since their Academy visit to the Land of Water. However, in the shadows of the ceremony, a group harboring a grudge stealthily begins to move.
Fans don’t know when the TV series will adapt the stories from the manga again, but it’s a safe bet that it will be a while before we see the battle against Code arrive in the TV show.
