Naruto Continues His Killing Streak With Another Boruto Shocker

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations the anime might tell a story that didn’t happen in the printed page’s story, but it certainly didn’t shy away from sending major shockwaves through Team 7. In the latest episode, which follows Kagura’s tragic death, it seems another anime-only character has bitten the bullet, surprising some young ninjas as the Funato clan continues their terrifying quest in the anime’s final arc, “The Great Sea Battle of Kirigakure Arc”, Needless to say, Boruto’s anime had a lot of surprises.

In the latest episode, viewers were forced to bid farewell to the young ninja Hebiichigo, as the pirate Funamushi expressed his true power and delivered the killing blow to the Kirigakure warrior. Having struck up a friendship with Metal Lee, Hebiichigo is able to at least say goodbye before moving on to the afterlife, lighting a new fire under the young Konoha members who seek to put an end to the Funato Pirates’ mad mission. With the anime featuring many characters who never appeared in the manga’s pages, it seems like all the original ninjas are on the chopping block in this new storyline.

Twitter user Abdul_S17 shared some footage of Hebiichigo’s death in the latest episode of Boruto: Naruto Next Generationsthe young Konoha ninja once again having to say goodbye to one of the friends he made while venturing into anime-only adventures within the TV series:

While Team 7 is currently battling pirates in the anime, the war against the Kara organization continues to rage in the pages of the manga as the Hidden Leaf Village has added an unexpected ally to its ranks. With the Kara Organization’s former research and development team leader Amado now working for the side of the Angels, he did the impossible and resurrected Delta, programming the former villain to fight now against his former allies. With creator Masashi Kishimoto proving he’s not afraid to knock some major players off the table in his new role as writer in the sequel series, no one seems safe in the manga or anime.
