Boruto: Naruto Next Generations announces a major kidnapping in the anime with the new opening theme sequence for the series! Like many other anime premiering this year, Boruto is gearing up for a massive 2022. Masashi Kishimoto’s original Naruto series celebrates the 20th anniversary of its anime release, which means fans need to keep an eye out on what could happen to Boruto in the weeks and months to come. The way the anime decided to kick off the year as a whole makes things more exciting.
The final episode in the series was the first Boruto: Naruto Next Generations release for 2022, and with it, a new opening and ending theme sequence. This new opening is the tenth of the entire anime and is titled “GOLD”, performed by FLOW. There’s a lot to follow in all of the action in the sequence, and it seems the key element is that we’ll see Himawari Uzumaki potentially abducted as the anime continues. It’s unclear if we’ll see Himawari kidnapped in the anime or if some semblance of that fight will be incorporated into the anime formally, as the series is currently in the midst of a series of original stories in the anime. in order to give the manga more time to move forward and truly form the fallout arc after the fight with Isshiki Otsutsuki. And as we’ve seen in the past, some of the more explosive opening sequences don’t quite match what you might expect from the anime.
