Being one of the most important Shonen Jump franchises, the Naruto universe has made several leaps in video games, with the Ultimate Ninja Storm series being the one that won the hearts of fans. Developed by CyberConnect 2, the studio managed to pay tribute in different installments to the work of Masashi Kishimoto, ending the story of Naruto Uzumaki in Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (2016).
Since then, the last video game that has been seen on the market was “Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker“, developed by Soleil and published by Bandai Namco. Naruto’s manga may have ended, but the universe continues to expand with his son, Boruto Uzumaki. Both the manga and the anime remain afloat, although without having the great impact that both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden had.
By having new characters, some fans have wondered if it would not be nice to see an installment of Ultimate Ninja Storm but covering Boruto’s manga. It seems that those wishes could come true, if we subject ourselves to a leak.
Naruto: Will the next Ultimate Ninja Storm be revealed this year?
According to the youtuber and anime video game expert, Senju in Japan, has information about the development of a new Naruto video game within Bandai Namco that would be part of the Ninja Storm saga. According to his account, the development would have started since last year, with the possibility of being officially announced at the end of 2022.
It also clarifies that, although it would be a game from the Ultimate Ninja Storm cut, it would not be exactly “Ultimate Ninja Storm 5“and would have a name that alludes to Boruto. Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 after its launch got an expansion dedicated to the “new generation” that included Boruto Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha, daughter of Sasuke and Sakura.
If this information ends up being confirmed, it would only be necessary to wait if they will be choosing to adapt the anime or the manga. Both products have a different way of how to tell the story of Boruto Uzumaki, and we even see unpublished characters in the animated series.
