This 2022 is a special year for Naruto. Today, February 15, “Naruto Shippuden” turns 15 years after the broadcast of its first chapter. The first part, “Naruto” turns 20 in a few months. The story is far from over. “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations”, an anime that tells the life of Naruto’s son continues to show us adventures in the Leaf Village.
The original anime “Naruto” began airing in 2002, while the second part, “Naruto Shippuden” began airing in 2007.. The series based on Masashi Kishimoto’s manga is considered one of the three most popular anime in history, gathering in the top three places along with “Dragon Ball” and “One Piece”. This, according to different rankings that have been made in Japan. An interesting fact is that Kishimoto, creator of Naruto, admires “Dragon Ball” and Akira Toriyama’s work in general: hence the orange suit of its protagonist, similar to that of Son Goku.
Naruto tells us the story of a boy who carries within him a fox demon called “Kurama”. The also called “Fox of the nine tails” is a great chakra charge, which gives Naruto great power. In “Naruto Shippuden” the protagonist grew up, having spent some years training with Jiraiya, a wise and somewhat perverted ninja. The story in that second part gets even deeper and the fights even more epic.
In that part of the series, the so-called “Fourth Ninja War” takes place, where Naruto will face Akatsuki, and fearsome enemies that will put his world at risk, as we had known it until then. Without generating spoilers for those who have never seen the series, Naruto is an anime that begins with a somewhat immature, comical character, but with great power. Throughout the series he grows, becoming more and more powerful, and above all: gaining the respect and affection of those who previously watched him with fear and rejection.
