Almost half of all Naruto Shippuden episodes are fillers. You can easily ignore them using our list.
When Netflix added Naruto Shippuden about a year ago, many fans saw it as an opportunity to revisit the anime. However, it should be noted that a good portion is made up of filler sequences which do not contribute anything to the plot and are sometimes very difficult or boring.
Why is that? Filler episodes are typically produced when the series gets too close to the manga model. In Naruto Shippuden, this happened more often, which is why 205 of the total 500 episodes were classified as fillers.
As these contain elements that are not from the original manga and are generally poorly animated, you can safely ignore them. The following overview will help you. But beware, spoilers for the right story also appear here and there.
