Boruto: Naruto Next Generations sets the stage for Code to grow even stronger and reveal his true strength with the latest chapter in the series! The manga now delves into its new Code-centric arc, with the conflict of the next chapters becoming ever clearer, and Code’s grand plan starting to fall into place. He only acted in his belief in the Otsutsuki and followed Isshiki’s plan for him, but it seems Code is still hiding something up his sleeve.
It has been said that the reason Code was trying to sacrifice Boruto to the Ten Tails and bear a new divine tree chakra fruit in order to achieve the level of divine power that only the Otsutsuki can achieve, but it seems that Code still has a strength that has yet to be harnessed. We hear Eida refer to the “real” force of Code, and now we wonder if this refers to the Divine Tree or an aspect of his Karma powers that has not yet been revealed.
Chapter 64 of the series picks up right after Boruto unleashes his full might from the Seal of Karma once more. But rather than being controlled by Momoshiki, it is confirmed that Boruto now has a new level of control over the Otsutsuki which is most likely due to the effects of the experimental drug he had taken from Amado. As Boruto begins to fight Code and their Karma powers clash, it is to the point that even Code worries about losing to Boruto before unlocking his “real” power.
When Boruto corner him, Eida explains to Code that Boruto’s new control over Momoshiki is likely due to Amado’s drugs (which Eida only knows from his omniscient abilities, but isn’t sure since his vision doesn’t. not extend to Boruto’s Otsutsuki body), and says Code should worry for fear of losing before he gets his true strength. So, while Code’s Karma is indeed stronger than Boruto’s, it is not at such a level that it is totally invincible. In fact, this is the best time to defeat Code before he gains his true power.
