Naruto’s obsession with ramen has to do with his childhood and his past.

It is well known that Naruto’s childhood was quite sad and difficult being an orphan, added to the fact that the vast majority of the villagers disowned him for having the Nine-Tailed Demon sealed within him.

Although Naruto had the monetary support of the Third Hokage, and several members of the ANBU (“Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai” translated into Spanish as “Special Assassination and Tactics Squad) guaranteeing his safety, he lacked an adult figure to accompany him and will guarantee the love and care that a child needs.

Growing up, Naruto was viewed as a monster by the villagers, once they found out that he carried the Nine-Tailed Fox inside of him. Because of this, Naruto is left with no one to nurture his growth.

The Third Hokage didn’t want to get too involved with the boy, because he was afraid that more than one target would be placed on his back for doing so. Over time, Iruka would become a good influence in Naruto’s life.coming to feel compassion for him.

However, while there is no doubt that both the Third Hokage and Iruka did the best they could for Naruto, none really marked the boy’s life the way Teuchi didthe owner of the Ichiraku Ramen shop.

The video in question makes a key point by saying that although Naruto had money to buy food, sometimes in the places where he went they refused to serve him and/or took advantage of him once he was welcomed.

Also, as described in the end of Naruto Shippuden “Niji No Sora” the first time that Naruto is treated kindly and fairly is when he arrives at Ichiraku Ramen.

While hosting Naruto at his venue might have ruined it due to Naruto’s notoriety and the villagers’ hatred of him, Teuchi didn’t care what others thought, and received Naruto cordially and without discrimination.

Teuchi managed to give Naruto what he needed and what he had been looking for for a long time: some sympathy and comfort. Without a doubt, ramen by itself is quite comforting, but the gesture that Teuchi has had with Naruto makes this dish much more special for the boy.

This is the main reason why Naruto likes ramen so much, and it’s because eating it brings back memories of that special moment Teuchi gave himassociating ramen with that feeling of comfort and kindness that he could experience at that moment.

As he grew older, Naruto would be able to meet more people who would be an important part of his life: Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, and his other Academy classmates, not to mention the Third Hokage and Iruka, who undoubtedly played a role. important in Naruto’s childhood. However, neither could convey the same emotions as Teuchi and his ramen they were able to generate in the young ninja.
