We’ve seen recently that comics have become works of art, so to speak, and in a few years, it might as well be the same for manga, given the current notoriety of some of these japanese works. And with the animated adaptations, this has helped spread and democratize certain other now almost legendary. 1) «Omae wa mou shindeiru»
Become a real internet meme, the famous phrase comes from Hokuto no Ken (known to us as ken the boy who lived) por Buronson y Tetsuo Hara. Having gone viral thanks to its anime adaptation, the phrase takes its context as the hero, Kenshiro, finds himself in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world. In a scene that is now cult, our hero, an expert in martial arts, manages to save a young woman from the hands of a dangerous individual. After hitting him with his famous technique, «Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken», Kenshiro ends the fight with this amazing phrase : “You don’t know yet, but you’re already dead” (lit.: “Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru”), to which the enemy responds with the equally cultured “Nani?!” (lit.: “What”), before disappearing in an unexpected explosion.
2) «Kaizoku ou ni, ore wa naru»
If the expression “King of the Pirates” has spread so much it is thanks to Eiichiro Oda and One piece. It has become a true saga on its own and has been in existence for several decades now., Oda’s work is already a classic of the genre. Heard countless times from the protagonist Monkey D. Luffy, also known as Mugiwara no Luffy (literally: Straw Hat Luffy), this phrase has become the signature of this saga that has endured through generations. rallying more and more people to the cause of the Straw Hat crew. At least now everyone knows how to say “The Pirate King will be me” in Japanese.
3) «Sore ga ore no nindo da»
Another phrase that became very famous the protagonist of the work of Masashi Kishimoto, obviously I want to talk about Naruto, from the homonymous manga. Considered one of the “Big Three” anime of the years 2000-2010, a whole generation of fans followed Naruto on his adventures and his evolution, and the work was a great success all over the world. The main character, Naruto Uzumaki, is recognized for his cheerful character but above all for his determination, making him a perfect example of the shonen hero. Thus, one of the most iconic phrases of the character will probably remain: «I never go back on my word. This is my nindo” (lit.: “massugu jibun no kotoba wa magenee. sore ga ore no nindo da”).
4) «Sakujo»

But some of the most remembered scenes are those of Mikami Teru., pure fan of Kira whom he considers a god descended on Earth. When therefore he receives the famous Death Note to fulfill “his destiny”, we witness that known in the industry as “Sakujogasm”, when Mikami uses the Death God’s Notebook quite intensely, repeating “Sakujo” (literally: “Elimination”) multiple times.
5) “Shut up! It’s not normal that people can drink something that comes out of a cow’s udder! Plus it’s all white!”
Even if it’s certainly not the flashiest moment of full metal alchemist, this passage echoes one of the funniest gags in anime, but it’s not really there by chance.
