What happens is that a man from Davao City, Philippines, announced that he named his offspring after the characters of an animated series from Japan.

In declarations for the portal Esquire PhilippinesJamesey Bolivar Maribojo, a 29-year-old single father who works as a consultant in a real estate company, revealed that his offspring are named Naruto Uzumaki Namizake, this as a reference to the main character of the anime of the same name and his father.

“At first no one believed that was his full name because I kept calling him Naruto. Many asked me if it was his real name ”; commented Jamesey Bolivar Maribojo.

The man confesses that he is a big fan of naruto shippuden and emphasizes that the story of the series revolves around a boy who grew up without a family. “As a single father, I take care of my son 24/7.” Of course, he says that both he and his ex-partner agreed to name his son as the protagonist of the anime even before they parted ways.

“Not content with simply naming him ‘Naruto,’ I included his mother’s last name, Kushina Uzumaki, and his father’s last name, Minato Namizake. My son ended up with the name Naruto Uzumaki Namizake P. Maribojo,” the man confessed.

Certainly, taking the name of a character from a Japanese series and giving it to your offspring is quite a controversial decision. As expected, his relatives were not very happy with this situation. “They didn’t like it and they got angry. They said I would have a hard time writing the name and they would bully my son, but they couldn’t do anything.”

Despite the negative reaction from his family, Jamesey Bolivar Maribojo is ready to do it again. In case he has a second child, he confessed that he will probably name him after Naruto’s eternal rival, that is, Sasuke Uchiha.
