A One Piece card game is in development – 2051.fr

one-piece has swung into the hand, as a new collectible card game based on the popular manga series is in development. According to an announcement published by Shounen jumpthe game does not yet have an official title, but is expected to go on sale in July 2022 [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

the A play the deck of cards will be different from the existing one A play-themed card games like One Piece Kizuna Boost. The URL of Kizuna boost official site is now redirecting to the official Japanese site for the new game. It also appears to be slated for a worldwide release. Shueisha has opened official websites for the A play card game covering Japan, China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, North and Latin America and Europe.

The sites also hosted a teaser video for the project featuring manga art. Little information on how the game plays was available, but some of the card designs showed characters, point values, and artwork resembling signs, scenes, and even sound effect text manga.

Also on the sites are some deals planned for the One Piece Card Game. Upon release, four starter decks will be available, each themed around a pirate crew: The Straw Hats, Worst Generation, Animal Kingdom Pirates, and the Seven Warlords of the Sea are all represented. The Japanese price for each starter deck is 990 yen (about US$9). A 6-card “Romance Dawn” booster will cost 198 yen (approximately 1.75 USD). Also available upon release are a set of special card sleeves, sold in packs of 70. Finally, a new starter deck based on characters from various A play feature films is scheduled for release in August 2022.
