Nami is one of the key characters in the series.

One Piece is currently on the crest of the media wave, since with the end of its current story arc and with the news that the next one will be the last of the seriesthere are many who already see that in a few years Luffy and his nakamas will find (or not) the coveted One Piece, thus ending a journey of more than 20 years in anime and manga.

For all that has been said, and in the absence of knowing the next great villain of the series, it is our turn to focus on one of the Straw Hat crew members, this being Nami, who was the second (or fourth depending on how you look at it) member to join Luffy’s crew. And it is that, as it has been revealed, Nami might not have been the character we currently know.

Silk and Ann were the original versions of Nami.

Recently Eiichiro Oda, mangaka of One Piece, has been planning the entire plot of the series for years, leading to the fact that he has planned everything in such a way that he carried out several prototypes of the chaptersbeing so that this also includes the first of the series where we could meet Luffy, Zoro and Nami and who are called Romance Dawn.

Under this premise, these chapters would have introduced us to Silk and Ann, these being the original versions of Nami. In this way, the difference with these female characters is found mainly in their personality, since Silk is not afraid to fight and wields a sword.also being a girl who her parents abandoned leaving her an orphan.

Secondly, Ann only has eyes for her pet bird named Ballon.wielding the sword as well, but without Silk’s strength, as she had to trust that Luffy would be able to defeat the pirate gang that had her kidnapped. Also, it should be noted that these two characters originally had a different color hair than Nami, in addition to the fact that Ann is more disinterested in money on a par with Silk. he is fiercer in battle.
