Eiichiro Oda has spoken on several occasions about the end of One Piece, at first the mangaka announced that his anime would end in a period of 5 years. This happened in 2019, therefore this implies that the end of the anime series will occur between the year 2024 and the year 2025.

However, later the mangaka creator of One Piece wanted to clarify that what would conclude would be the main plot of his work, but the story would continue a little longer. That is, the work still does not have a specific end date, at least not officially.

In addition, thanks to a recent interview that we attach below, we know that before starting One Piece, its creator had in mind that the narrative would last about 10 years.

On the other hand, we also know that the appearance on the scene of the mother of the main protagonist does not fit into Eiichiro Oda’s plans for the end of One Piece, so anime fans should not expect a family ending. Monkey D. Luffy’s relationship with his parents has always been an unfinished business in One Piece, but the creator claimed that the character’s mother is not part of the story because the protagonist’s adventure begins when he left his mother’s arms.

One of the editors of One Piece, named Iwasaki, was fortunate to discover what the end of the work will be on his birthday. After discovering it, he wanted to mention that he is aware of many of the theories of the fans of the series and that, curiously, none of them agrees with the end of One Piece. So everything seems to indicate that the end will be surprising and unexpected.

One Piece is currently at the height of its plot, the Wano Country Arc which is closely related to the ending of the plot. The Straw Hat Pirates have finally found Kaido, one of the Four Emperors who rule the seas of the New World and he has proven to be one of the most powerful enemies in Eiichiro Oda’s work.
