Naruto is one of the longest-running manga and anime series of recent decades, barely comparable to other immense sagas such as Dragon Ball or One Piece.
Although the comparisons between the three frankly end there, since the qualities of each series are quite different although they all require a lot of time and patience to delve into their mythology.
In recent times we have seen the emergence of something of a renaissance in the rage for Naruto, all thanks to the publication of a couple of spin-offs derived from its own universe: Naruto: Konoha’s Story-The Steam Ninja Scrolls and Naruto: Sasuke Retsuden.
There is even a firm plan to make an animated adaptation of this latest adventure. But it would not be the only project at the door.
Since now new reports are beginning to circulate where everything indicates that we will have a new spin-off, now focused on Naruto’s father: Minato Namikaze.
This is all we know so far about this new adventure that could well end up adapted as a brutal anime.
Naruto’s father could be the protagonist of his own spin-off
According to a report by colleagues from screen ranton December 17, 2022, the Jump Festa was held in Japan, one of the most anticipated celebrations for otakus in the world.
There, as part of the activities for the 20th anniversary of Naruto, the start of the NARUTOP99 survey was announced, where a total of 488 characters are put to the vote to choose the 99 most popular.
Voting for this project closes until January 31, 2023, but the interesting point here is that those who occupy the top 20 would be drawn again by Masashi Kishimoto, creator of Naruto.
Although the jewel in the crown would correspond to whoever occupies the first position on the list, since that character would be the protagonist of a new spin-off manga focused on him.
The votes are public and for the moment everything indicates that the members of the top 10 will not move from there, exchanging positions between them in the “worst” case.
However, the first place seems quite entrenched and unless something radical happens it is almost a given that the protagonist of the next manga would be the father of Naruto. Minato Namikaze:

Given its popularity, there is a high chance that this spin-off will end up as an anime. But first, the votes must be closed.
