Netflix Geeked Week 2022 Day 1 Recap: The Sandman, The Umbrella Academy, One Piece & More

Today started the Geek Week 2022an event in which Netflix will be showing a multitude of new features of its most “geeky” content throughout the week.

And of course this first day has started off on a very good footing, as we have come across a lot of titles to highlight that will soon arrive on the streaming platform.

These are the best tablets to watch movies and series

If you often watch series when traveling or in various parts of the house, these tablets can be good companions for entertainment consumption.

Undoubtedly one of the most outstanding novelties has been the new trailer for The Sandman, the series based on the comics by Neil Gaiman whose plot focuses on the people and places affected by Morpheus, the King of Dreams, while repairing the errors that He has committed both on a cosmic and human level during his vast existence. It will be August 5 when we can enjoy the season.

Another of the trailers shown by Netflix at Geeked Week 2022 is Wednesdayseries starring Jenna Ortega focused on the character of Wednesday Addams during his years as a student as he tries to master his emerging psychic ability and his frustrations while trying to solve the mystery that entangled his parents.

Although there was no trailer yet, a small glimpse behind the cameras of One Piece was shownthe live action series based on the iconic manga by Eiichirô Oda with Iñaki Godoy in the role of Monkey D. Luffy.

Although we have not yet been able to see the cast in character, we have shown some of the scenes from the series, showing some very well achieved recreations of ships as popular as the Baratie restaurant, Alvida’s ship or the iconic Going Merry, the Straw Hat gang ship.

We have also had a new trailer for Resident Evil, the series based on Capcom’s video games, a preview of The Umbrella Academy season 3 and previews and details of the long-awaited new seasons such as Sweet Tooth: The Deer Boy, Alice in Borderland either Locke & Keythe latter being the definitive end of the series.

Between the New Netflix series shown at Geeked Week we find titles as interesting as the midnight club by Mike Flanagan, the anthology series Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities or the trailer for 1899, the new series from the creators of Dark.

These are some of the most outstanding novelties of day 1 of Netflix’s Geeked Week 2022. While we wait for more juicy details to be released, here are some of the best Netflix miniseries to watch in a weekend.
