Netflix’s One Piece Promises To Release Major Update During Geeked Week 2022

Netflix is gearing up for a big season of content, and the streaming service will be running a slew of its big fan projects this June. One of them is the live action One Piece.

Geek Week 2022 just had its date, so fans know that everything from Stranger Things to The Witcher to The Umbrella Academy will be appearing during the event. And now, it looks like Netflix’s One Piece is joining in on the fun.

The teaser went live today when Netflix confirmed it would host its Annual Geeked Week in early June this year. The event promises to release sneak peeks and previews of all kinds of original projects.

Of course, fans were forced to find out what those projects were, and it didn’t take long to find a One Piece nod on the announcement poster. Then, The Truth News share more details with you.

As you can see below, the Geeked Week ad is packed with content, but there’s something familiar in the top left corner. You can see a cute symbol next to the save date on the poster, and it happens to be the Going Merry pet.

Netflix One Piece Going Merry

Netflix’s One Piece has leaked part of the Going Merry on social media

The adorable ram’s head is hard to mistake, and fans are already freaking out over the reference. After all, the One Piece live-action adaptation has kept its secrets ever since it was announced.

Although Netflix’s One Piece series added six new actors to its cast, no footage of the set has surfaced. However, filming for One Piece began last year and the Netflix stars have posted occasional updates for fans in South Africa.

Now, all eyes are on Geeked Week in hopes of something special. One Piece fans would love to see a clip from the show. At a minimum, we’d love to have a poster that has all of its stars dressed as characters. What about if He creator Eiichiro Oda wants to share a few words during the event, fans won’t say no!
