After a Wano Kuni arc that saw Luffy become one of the Four Emperors, Eiichiro Oda continues to surprise us with the Egghead arc. In the latest chapter, Luffy reunites with one of his oldest enemies.
Expected reunion
The Egghead arc is definitely shaping up to be a major arc of One Piece. As Eiichiro Oda’s manga nears its end, the ongoing arc is full of revelations. The last chapters have allowed us to learn more about Kuma, the origins of the Revolutionary Army, but also about the Forgotten Century and the event that caused discrimination around the Fish-Man 200 years ago.
After learning that Haguar D. Sauro was probably alive, and that Ohara archaeologists’ will was saved by Vegapunk among other things, Eiichiro Oda continues to tie the new arc of One Piece with the Enies Lobby bow, in which the Straw Hats had to save Nico Robin from the clutches of CP-9. Indeed, because he knows too much, Dr. Vegapunk is now the target of CP0, made up of the former members of CP-9. After Luffy agrees to bring Vegapunk with him (for his funny face!), the Straw Hat captain gets in the way of Rob Lucci, the Pigeon Man.
A highly anticipated rematch is therefore announced. Indeed, we recall that Volume 44, which saw the dantesque fight between Luffy and Rob Lucci, is still considered today as one of the most intense in the history of One Piece. It was enough for the fans to go crazy!
