One Piece Chapter 1059 is titled “The Captain Koby Incident”.

The chapter begins with a ship sailing the seas near Sphinx Island (Whitebeard’s homeland). Mark leaves the ship and thanks the crew for bringing him there. The ship is that of the Pirates of Roux.

Shanks asks Marco if he won’t join them. Marco tells Shanks to stop joking, he’s had enough of being the big pirates’ babysitter.

Shanks tells Marco not to overdo it because he’s not a handful. Ben Beckman tells Shanks he is, while their nakamas mock his captain.

Everyone says goodbye to Marco who flies off to Sphinx Island.

A flashback begins, it takes place in Wanokuni, during the night of the festival after the attack on Ryokugyuu.

Luffy: “What? Won’t you come with us? Become a pirate! »

Sanji: “No…Yamato-chan! »

Yamato: “I’m sure you all noticed too, right? The incident with the “forest guy” was only resolved thanks to someone’s powerful Haki. Kaido may have fallen… But now all these guys are after Wanokuni. I cannot allow it. How could I go on an adventure when I’m worried about this country? I’m sure we both feel the same! »

Yamato speaks to Luffy totally convinced of what he is saying., he even winks at Luffy confidently. Luffy looks at Yamato seriously but he understands what Yamato is saying, so he accepts Yamato’s decision and leaves Momonosuke and the others in his care.

Zoro asks Yamato to be careful not to hurt Momonosuke., because he has a very strong sense of pride. Yamato tells Zoro that he knows. Yamato also says that he will look for a personal goal in Wanokuni in order to fulfill himself even more. Sanji cries for Yamato’s decision.

Marco flies up to where Luffy and the others are. Marco tells Luffy that a suitable ship has appeared near Wanokuni and he is going to leave the island aboard it. There’s a little flashback to Marineford, when Marco told Jinbe to take Ace’s brother with him (after Ace’s death). Luffy then thanks Marco for helping him during the Summit War.

Marco: “I’m sure Ace would be very happy if he knew how far you’ve come! »

Luffy: “Shishishi! I see ! »

Marco flies out of Wanokuni with a final message for Luffy.

Marco: “From now on, it’s your time! Go ahead with determination! »

Luffy: “Of course I will!! »

End of flashback. We return to the present, to see Marco arrive on Sphinx Island.

At Amazon Lily

Part of the big mountain in the center of the island has been destroyed. Gloriosa says that this is the first time the men have been able to invade the island so deeply, and the damage in the city is enormous. Hancock says that as long as she’s on the island, the enemies will keep coming.

Hancock: “Uh…Now that it’s come to this…I want to be married to Luffy…”

Gloriosa: “You’ve always wanted this, it’s not something new…”

A new flashback begins

It takes place during the Marine attack a few weeks ago. The Marines manage to break down the city gate, but Kuja counterattacks. The Marines then order to send the new Pacifistas called “Seraphim” to the front line and also order to activate the recording cameras. Vice Admiral Yamakaji says we haven’t seen Hancock yet.

A little girl with wings and a flame on her back appears in front of Marguerite and Sweet Pea, but they don’t want to fight with a child. The girl, who has star-shaped pupils, shoots a laser with her hand like the Pacifistas we already know.

Suddenly, the ship of the Blackbeard pirates appears behind the warships of the Marines. A powerful sea quake pushes the warships out of Blackbeard’s route towards Amazon Lily. The Marines say the Sea Kings will notice the quake.

Teach lands on the island with Catarina Devon and Vasco Shot.

Teach: “Zehaha! I’m here for you, Pirate Empress! There’s no way I’m letting your power fall into Marine’s hands! »

Catarina says Hancock has a beautiful face so she wants Hancock’s head as her treasure. Teach tells Catarina she can do whatever she wants as long as he can get Hancock’s power. Vasco says it’s best to capture Hancock alive and take him with them.

The Marines ask Vice Admiral Yamakaji to give them the order to attack Blackbeard, but Yamakaji says they have to wait for permission from Headquarters. Teach attacks the Marines with the Gura Gura no Mi power telling Boa Hancock to get out.

Koby enters with a group of Marines in the city of Kuja and tries to reason with Boa Hancock.

Koby: “Hancock-san! We do not want to use violence! If you come with us, I promise you we’ll leave immediately! »

Marigold and Sandersonia tell her sister to stay away, as they will deal with the Marines. However, Hancock rushes into battle.

Hancock: “How ridiculous… I won’t be in the hands of either side, I bow to no one!” »

Teach’s subordinates ask him for help against a new enemy that has appeared. He’s a child but they can’t do anything against him. We see an explosion caused by a laser from the Pacifistas.

Teach: “Huh? It’s not possible… White hair… brown skin… And black wings?

The kid arrives where Teach is. The kid also has a flame on his back and carries a large sword similar to Mihawk’s (actually the kid looks like the child version of Mihawk that Oda drew in an SBS). The kid attacks Teach, the swing of his sword cleaves the large mountain on the island.

Teach: “PX…? Shit… That brat is a Pacifista. What’s going on ? »

The Pacifista attacks Teach again, but he stops the sword with his arm covered in Haki. Teach uses his powers to absorb everything around him.

Teaching: “Black Hole”

Boa Hancock uses the “Slave Arrow” attack to turn all nearby enemies to stone, including Helmeppo and Vice Admiral Yamakaji. Koby orders the Pacifista to stop immediately as he might destroy the stone statues with his laser beams. Boa Hancock is about to use the “Fragrant Femur” attack but someone is stopping him.

In an impressive double-page spread, we see Teach grabbing Boa Hancock by the neck and lifting Hancock off the ground in front of Pirates Kuja and Koby (who is next to them). Teach uses the powers of the Yami Yami no Mi, so Boa Hancock cannot use his powers. We discover their new bounties.

Boa Hancock: “Get your filthy paws off me”

[Ancien Shichibukai. « Impératrice Pirate ». Boa Hancock. Prime : 1,659,000,000 Berries]

Blackbeard: “Zehahahahahaha! It’s not for nothing that you are called “Empress”! Ohh, you turned all my idiots to stone! »

[Empereur « Barbe Noire ». Marshall D. Teach. Prime : 3,996,000,000 Baies]

When Teach says this, we see that even Catarina Devon and Vasco Shot have been turned to stone. Koby doesn’t know what to do in this situation.

Teach tells Hancock that he waited patiently to get his powers. Hancock replies that her powers are based on her own beauty. If Teach kills her, those who turned to stone will remain in that state. Even the next user of the Mero Mero no Mi will not be able to reverse it. Koby says Hancock is a bigger problem than expected.

Blackbeard: “Looks like this situation is going nowhere, right ‘Hero’ Koby!” You did me a favor during the Rocky Port incident. Thanks to you, I was able to defeat “Ouchoku/Wang Zhi” and become the boss of “Pirate Island”! »

Koby: “…!! »

Blackbeard: “Do you really think if I let her go…she’s going to be nice and bring everyone back to normal?” »

Koby: “If she doesn’t bring the soldiers back to normal… That’s going to be a big problem. Hah… Hah…”

Hancock: “I will if you all leave the island…!” Ugh. »

Teach squeezes Hancock’s neck tighter.

Teach: “And… that’s a lie! The moment I let you go, you will turn us to stone. And that will be our end, won’t it? To be honest, I think it’s impossible for a man to be unaffected by your powers. It’s a tough situation, so I think I should just kill you. »

Koby: “Don’t do that, the number of victims would be too high! »

Suddenly, someone with very powerful Haki appears.

Rayleigh: “I was expecting the Marines, but this…Even the landscape of the island has been changed…Sorry Hancock, I’m late. »

Teach: “Da…”Dark King” Rayleigh? »

Rayleigh draws her sword.

Rayleigh: “Hey ‘Whitebeard’s Apprentice!’ It’s not very mature of me to say it, but I don’t like you. »

Koby and Teach’s subordinates panic. Rayleigh continues to talk.

Rayleigh: “Hancock, get everyone back to normal…I’ll be the witness. You’re all going to leave this island… without doing a stupid thing. »

Back to “Amazon Lily” in the present. We see that Rayleigh did not arrive alone on the island, Shakky is with him and we discover his true identity.

Shakky: “Advances always bring problems… Thanks to Vegapunk’s Seastone Warships, the Calm Belt is no longer a safe place. »

[Impératrice d’Amazon Lily d’il y a 2 générations. Ancien capitaine des Pirates de Kuja : Shakuyaku]

Rayleigh: “To be honest, things have been favorable for us. I’m old now, so I wouldn’t be able to defeat the current Blackbeard. »

Rayleigh says it looks like the Marines think they can replace the Shichibukai with the new weapons they brought to the island. Marigold and Sandersonia talk about it.

Marigold: “At the end of the battle, those two…”

Sandersonia: “They didn’t have a single scratch! And strangely… One of them looked exactly like our big sister when she was a child! ! We see a photo of that “Seraph” face the Marines used on Amazon Lily. Indeed, her face is exactly the same as Boa Hancock’s when she was a child, although her pupils are star-shaped.

The chapter ends with a Marine ship reporting what happened on Amazon Lily.

Marines: “Yes sir, we are disembarking at the port of ‘Egg Head’. Regarding Captain Koby, who was kidnapped…”

In the last image, we see a page from a diary with Koby’s photo. The narrator says that Captain Koby, the hero of the Rocky Port incident, was kidnapped by Yonko “Blackbeard” and his pirate crew. His current status is unknown…
