One Piece fans will be in heaven! On the occasion of the broadcast of the 1000th episode of the cult series, CGR Events is organizing marathons throughout France with an exceptional program.

Get ready to set off on an adventure aboard the Thousand Sunny alongside the most famous pirates in Japanese animation: Monkey D. Luffy! On November 21, Toei Animation Europe, Kinepolis and CGR Events are offering fans an exceptional evening called One Piece 1000 Logs.

To celebrate the broadcast of the 1000th episode of the mythical anime, the festivities will last approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes! Something to delight franchise aficionados. Here is the program :

  • Immerse yourself in the universe of One Piece with the historical film One Piece: Strong World.
  • Discover an unseen portrait of the famous Luffy never before seen in cinemas
  • The 1000th episode of One Piece in theaters, the day after its release in Japan
  • And some little bonuses as surprises for fans of the saga.

Launched on October 26, reservations for the event have sparked spectacular enthusiasm, putting pre-sales servers to the test. A real tidal wave! The evening will be offered in many CGR and Kinepolis cinemas in France as well as at the Grand Rex in Paris.

As a reminder, One Piece is adapted from the manga created by Eiichirō Oda. It is the best-selling in the world with more than 490 million copies sold in July 2021. The franchise even has the luxury of exceeding Akira Toriyama’s legendary Dragon Ball (300 million). In France, the saga has sold 25 million copies. This major work of Japanese culture continues to conquer more and more fans since its debut in 1997. It has to date 100 published volumes.

The anime will therefore soon reach the bar of the 1000th episode, an exceptional longevity that deserves its celebration in the cinema! As a reminder, the story of One Piece is as follows: There was a time when Gold Roger was the greatest of all pirates, the “King of the Pirates” was his nickname. When he died, his priceless treasure known as “One Piece” was hidden somewhere on “Grand Line”.

Many pirates went in search of this treasure, but all died before they even reached it. Monkey D. Luffy dreams of finding this legendary treasure and becoming the new “King of the Pirates”. After eating a devil fruit, he possesses a power that allows him to make his dream come true. He must now find a crew to go on an adventure!

Note that all tickets for the Grand Rex marathon have already been sold! The cinema has announced that it will attempt to set up another night to keep fans happy. In any case, Japanese animation is gaining more and more importance in the land of Molière, whether on platforms like ADN, Wakanim or Crunchyroll, or on the big screen with the recent triumph of Demon Slayer: Le Train de l ‘Infinite (over 700,000 entries).

The series is available in entirety on DNA. In addition, a live action adaptation is in preparation on the Netflix side.
