One Piece: Netflix’s new live action series presents its definitive cast

One Piece, one of the most popular manganimes in history, is about to make the leap into live action from the hand of Netflix in serial format. So much so, that after months of speculation and rumors about the possible cast of this new television adaptation, its own managers have finally shared the names that will be part of the main cast with names such as Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu O Emily Rudd, among others. In addition, the own Eiichiro Oda, author of the original manga and executive producer of this new television adventure, has expressed his excitement by confirming the names of the protagonists of this new vision of One Piece.

Thus, Netflix has announced that the live action series One Piece will star Iñaki Godoy (Who Killed Sara?), Mackenyu (Pacific Rim: Uprising), Emily Rudd (Hunters), Jacob Romero Gibson (All Rise) y Taz Skylar (Boiling Point). But what roles will each of them play? We start with the main protagonist, Luffy, which will be played by Iñaki Godoy, while Mackenyu will be Roronoa Zoro. For her part, Emily Rudd will be Us and Romero Gibson will be in charge of giving life to Usopp. Finally, Taz Skylar will take care of Sanji, thus completing the famous main group of the Straw Hat Pirates.

For its part, Eiichiro Oda, manga creator One Piece and executive producer of this new live action series, he has not wanted to miss the Netflix announcement sharing his joy for this ambitious new production: “We have been working with Netflix and Tomorrow Studios on this! gigantic project which is Hollywood’s live-action adaptation of One Piece! How many years has it been since it was announced, right? Yes, I know! ”Explains Oda.

The series is set to chronicle Luffy’s origins as a pirate alongside his friends throughout 10 episodes for a first season whose premiere at the moment is unknown.
