One Piece Odyssey will be playable for free a few days before its release. A new trailer has been unveiled for the occasion and reveals two new arcs.
The communication campaign around One Piece Odyssey intensifies. Scheduled for January 13, 2023 on PlayStation, Xbox and Steam consoles, the RPG returns to remember the good memories of fans with a new trailer focusing on two new manga arcs, but not only. Players will be able to play it for free before its release thanks to a demo. Here is all you need to know.
A free demo for One Piece Odyssey
Fans of the manga will be able to play One Piece Odyssey before its release. The game will indeed be approached through a free demo which will be made available from January 10, 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series and PS4, three days before the official launch of this adaptation which is somewhat off the beaten track. No information has been released as to the content or duration of this trial. On the other hand, it will be possible to transfer your backup to the full game, which suggests a fairly generous demo despite everything. Testing One Piece Odyssey early will also unlock some bonus items in its final version.
As reminded by trailer accompanying this announcement, the game will allow you to revisit certain cult places and events from the original work in the form of a dream. As Mugiwara’s memories are fused and altered, they will be altered to take different paths so as to allow certain beloved characters to make a prominent appearance. Luffy and his friends will therefore surrender for sure in four arcs. The two already confirmed: Alabasta and Water Seven, and those just announced: Marineford and Dressrosa. Players will find some known heads to lend them a hand like Trafalgar Law, Ace, Vivi or Sabo.
