One Piece premieres new anime special on Netflix

With the streaming service already working on a live-action adaptation of the series, with creator Eiichiro Oda Jumping on board as executive producer, it looks like one of the biggest specials in the Shonen series has come to Netflix.
Over the years, One Piece has had a number of movies that have told entirely new stories, such as Stampede and the upcoming One Piece Film Red, which will bring Red-Haired Shanks back, but has also taken the opportunity to release special movies. They try to wrap up great stories in a shorter time frame.
The Arabasta Arch took place over the course of close to forty episodes of the One Piece anime, beginning in episode 92. While an Arc of this size might be staggering for some anime, One Piece currently has over a thousand anime episodes to its name on present, and doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon as the War for Wano continues.
The official Twitter account of Toei Animation shared the news that One Piece: Episode of Alabasta: The Desert Princess and the Pirates was currently streaming on Netflix, with the film acting as the eighth in the series and summing up the Shonen series’ legendary Alabasta Arc:

This saga of one piece shonen manga will see Luffy appear on the scene for the first time along with the introduction of some of the most important members of the Straw Hat Pirates, including Nami, Usopp, Zoro, and Sanji to name a few.
