After a busy year 2021 for One Piece, the universe of Eiichiro Oda must now prepare for a highly anticipated year 2022. And for good reason, last month, when fans were desperately awaiting the release of episode 1000, the next movie One Piece was unveiled. A film scheduled for next August and whose main subject will be Shanks le Roux, aka the pirate who inspired Luffy.

After a first official announcement last month, fans of One Piece are now waiting to discover a real first trailer on this One Piece: Red. A film centered on Shanks le Roux which will obviously see Luffy and his crew return to the screen. But as with every new adventure, these popular characters, who have evolved over the years, will benefit from a very special design. And for good reason, since the main mission of the film will be different from that seen in the manga and the anime, the characters will opt for a slightly different design.
Although the film will not be directly written by Eiichiro Oda – the script being directed by Kuroiwa Tsutomu – the creator of One Piece will supervise it all the same. And on the occasion of the JUMP Fiesta, which was held this weekend in Japan, the announcements have multiplied. My Hero Academia, Bleach, Boruto, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero or Yu-Gi-Oh! Gorush, Japanese works have followed one another. One Piece was also there, to talk about One Piece: Red, the next film in the franchise.
Although a real first trailer is still missing, but which should reach us in the coming months, it is the designs of the characters of the film that have been unveiled.
