One Piece returns after hacking Toei Animation

After little more than a month of not having new episodes of ”one piece” Y ”Digimon: Ghost Game”, the animes have announced their comeback date. The official Twitter account for ”One Piece” has confirmed that episode 1014, titled ”Marco’s Tears! The Whitebeard Pirates Bond” will air on April 17th, followed by the release of episode 1015, ”Straw Hat Luffy – The Man Who Will Become King of the Pirates” on April 24th.

Similarly, Digimon: Ghost Game” also confirmed that it will return to its broadcast on April 17 as well. These new releases will be the first episodes of each series to air since the studio of Toei Animation suffered a hacking incident on March 6, where an unauthorized third party accessed the company’s private network and caused the studio’s systems to be shut down, causing several productions to experience indefinite delays.

Although Toei Animation seems to have recovered to a greater extent from the hack, there is still a notable absence between the announcements of return, as nothing has been said about the film ”Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero”, which was planned to be released on April 22 in Japan, and was delayed without any new date after the incident, so it does not yet have a definite date for its premiere.

The production of Toei Animation’s other big anime film, ”One Piece Film: Red”, appears to be running smoothly, as the studio has been releasing new information and art from the film in recent weeks. Recently, the studio revealed full-color art for Luffy, Nami, and Zoro’s new costumes. The film will open on August 6 in theaters in Japan.
