Uta is the new female character of One Piece. | Toei Animation
The anime ”one piece” just revealed new art of the new character in the series. In the next movie ”One Piece Film: Red”, we will meet Uta, a young woman who meets the Straw Hat Pirates while attending a music festival on a new island that will be the main plot of the next film. Although not much is known about the character, it was revealed that she will be the estranged daughter of Red-Haired Shanks, the powerful pirate who gave Luffy his straw hat that he always wears and inspired him as a young man to take up the life of a pirate.
In the image published through the official Twitter of ”One Piece Film: Red”, we can see the sketch of a younger version of Uta, a version that could be seen for a moment in the last trailer of the film, which has Scheduled to premiere on August 6. Uta is a very famous singer in the ”One Piece” universe, and she will play a major role during the events of the feature film.

In addition to new characters, new art for the Straw Hat Pirates’ new costumes has also been regularly being released. Keeping with the music-centric theme of the new film, Luffy and company’s outfits feature a mix of classic punk rock style with traditional pirate gear.
The production of the new film is being supervised by the original creator of the manga, Eiichiro Oda. According to Oda, the film was inspired by his desire to add a new female character to the series’ cast, as, in his own words, he was “tired of drawing old legendary grandparents”. The script for the new movie is being written by Tsutomu Kuroiwawho previously wrote ”One Piece Film: Gold”, the previous anime film.
