news culture The Imperfects: the other face of Luffy (One Piece) to discover Thursday in this new Netflix series
Unveiled during Netflix Geeked Week, the series The Imperfects inherits a brand new trailer a few days before its release on the platform. The opportunity to remember that it has in its ranks the actor who will lend his face to Luffy in the One Piece live action series…
The Imperfects is Thursday!
Subscribers to the Netflix platform will have the opportunity to discover a brand new series of atypical superheroes next Thursday. The 10 episodes of The Imperfects will indeed be launched on September 8 on Netflix with a trio of young actors embodying individuals endowed with superpowers. All of this smacks of deja-vu, but the starting point is actually less predictable than expected. The particularity of the series lies in the fact that not only young people have inherited these powers despite themselves following an experience with undesirable consequences, but above all in the “monstrous” nature of the powers in question. Abbi (Rhianna Jagpal), Tilda (Morgan Taylor Campbell) and Juan (Iñaki Godoy) will see their daily life turned upside down by taking on the appearance of monstrous creatures from fantasy folklore: a chupacabra, a banshee and a succubusjust that…
After undergoing an experiment that produced monstrous adverse effects, Abbi, Tilda and Juan team up to find the researcher responsible… and a cure. An offbeat sci-fi series starring Morgan Taylor Campbell, Rhianna Jagpal and Iñaki Godoy, from the team that created ‘The Order’.
The other devil fruit?
In the role of the chupacabra, we will therefore have the pleasure of discovering a young Mexican actor named Iñaki Godoy. As a reminder, it is to him that will return the heavy task of embodying the character of Luffy, hero of the manga One Piece in the live action series expected on Netflix around 2023!
According to this new video, the series The Imperfects will opt for an offbeat tone and the Netflix platform does not hesitate to already compare it to series such as The Umbrella Academy or The Boys, even if only the spectators will be the judges of its quality. It’s designed by the team that created The Order : screenwriter Shelley Eriksen and executive producer Dennis Heaton. Visible in auto-play, the new trailer has just been officially unveiledwhich allows us to get a little more precise idea of what awaits us next Thursday.
The series The Imperfects will be launched on Thursday, September 8 on Netflix.
