The One Piece creator sees Mihawk on the same level as the Emperors.

Swordsman Mihawk is not a weak character. But can the One Piece hero stand up to an emperor?

Hawkeye is without a doubt one of the strongest pirates in One Piece history. He is not only considered the best swordsman in the world, but also a longtime rival to the legendary Red Shanks. He also wears one of the legendary dragon swords and even faced off against Whitebeard in Marineford. Despite this fact, some fans doubt the power of the swordsman.

Reddit user finds ‘proof’ of Mihawk’s strength

Zorro’s professor is not one of the Four Emperors, so he cannot match their strength. At least that’s what some fans think, who don’t have great faith in the arts of the samurai. One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda sees it quite differently.

Recently a Reddit user shared a snippet from a previous FPS (fan post page) on the internet. In it, Oda answers the question of a reader who wonders why men never kick their opponents’ soft parts in combat. “Yes, this is a critical area. Imagine men of legend – Whitebeard, Shanks, Mihawk – looking each other in the eye, carrying their great ideals… and then trying to kick each other in the balls! Do you want to read a manga like this? », Retorts the screenwriter of One Piece.

For those who don’t think Mihawk is OnePiece’s yonko level.

The answer is, of course, humorous. But he also indirectly represents the pedestal on which Oda sees the strongest swordsman in the world. He calls Mihawk a legend and mentions him in the same sentence as the two Emperors Whitebeard and Shanks – any indication that all three are in a similar league?

We don’t know if Lynx’s Eye is really strong. So far, the samurai has rarely left his comfort zone and wielded his sword against a powerful opponent. Of course, the SPF’s statement also doesn’t give one hundred percent information about the character’s strength. But we hope Mihawk proves what he’s capable of in an epic way in the future.
