Video game. January 2023 releases

We are starting a new year and the panorama in terms of video game releases cannot be hotter. In January the first exclusive of 2023 for PS5 arrives, the long-awaited Forspoken. Manga/Anime versions of the best shonen also come to consoles… first with One Piece Odyssey and second with the improved Dragon Ball: Kakarot. And we cannot forget the review of that terrifying Dead Space… the recovery of two of the best titles in the Persona saga…

Here you have a small summary of the most interesting.

One Piece Odyssey -PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox SeriesS/X and PC-

Bandai Namco and ILCA have prepared the first bombshell of 2023 for us. An RPG set in the popular shonen that expands and complements the history of these iconic pirates. The creator and person in charge of the work, Eiichiro Oda, has participated in the game. Everything is ready for this new adventure for Luffy and his friends in a new world to explore, where they will end up stranded by chance. We can’t wait to start playing it!

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot -PS5 and Xbox Series X/S-

One of the latest (and best) games based on the Dragon Ball franchise comes to current consoles with the corresponding improvements. An ideal opportunity to get hold of it.

Persona 3 Portable -PS4, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Switch-
Persona 4 Golden -Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch-

It seems that it is also the month of “remasters”. Two of the titles of this franchise, an icon in the world of video games, arrive for the first time, and in Spanish, on almost all current consoles. As far as Mirosoft consoles are concerned, both titles will go directly into your Game Pass.

Fire Emblem Engage -Switch-

Intelligent Systems launches this game exclusively for the Nintendo hybrid. The seventeenth installment of this series that is characterized by its game system, role-playing and strategy. Another of the titles of the month.

Monster Hunter Rise -PS4, PS5, Xbox Series One and Xbox SeriesS/X-

After winning the title for best multiplayer game and best role-playing game, this Switch exclusive makes the leap to PlayStation and Xbox. Capcom applies the pertinent improvements to excuse its relaunch, of course. It also comes out to Game Pass.

Forspoken -PS5 and PC-

The first PS5 exclusive of the year (or semi-exclusive, which will also be enjoyed on PC). We have spent months, even years, seeing spectacular gameplays of this new open world game created halfway between Luminous and Square Enix. It sure doesn’t disappoint.

Wonder Boy Anniversary Collection -PS4, PS5 and Switch-

Older gamers out there must drool at the thought of having all (ALL) of the Wonder Boy games on one disc (or one download). From now on it will be possible thanks to this compilation that respects every classic game it brings together in everything.

Dead Space Remake -PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC-

Dead Space came to PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2008… and it was already terrifying. We cannot imagine what this version, created from scratch, can do for the current generation. After Callisto Protocol, it’s time to continue experiencing good space fear.

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition -Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S-

The best strategy comes to Microsoft consoles with this rescued and remastered title. From day one on Game Pass.

Season -PC and PS5-

Another semi-exclusive from Sony for PS5, but this time it’s an indie. One of those games where you don’t have to kill or compete. Just travel, relax… and take pictures and learn. We have to capture the last moments of different species before they disappear. An ecological and awareness-raising message that shows that, in this video game, you can make profound and fun products.
