One Piece is one of the longest-running anime and manga series that we can find, and its immensity of chapters that easily exceed 1000 makes it a bit overwhelming for newcomers, especially those who have only seen its first episode in which we are told about the One Piece, the great treasure of Gol D. Roger.
Something that seems quite striking to us is that Eiichiro Oda is a great storyteller and the enormous success that his manga has had has shown it. This mangaka has been characterized by leaving a lot of unknowns throughout the series over the years, in order for lovers of this work to draw their own theories and speculations about these enigmas, generating a sense of mystery in around this anime, which undoubtedly hooks anyone.
There are so many mysteries that this anime possesses, that without a doubt each chapter never ceases to amaze, since Oda has made great revelations in the last episodes of this work, as has been observed in the last installment of this manga, where the Hats of Straw have sailed to a peculiar island that apparently has a secret connection with the King of the Pirates, Gol D. Roger.
One Piece has been responsible for extending a large number of mysteries that this series has to the end, but now that this work is in its final stretch, everything seems to indicate that Oda has decided to address and unveil some of these enigmas.
One of the great mysteries that has apparently begun to be addressed in the most recent chapter of the manga is about the famous Egghead Island, on which Dr. Vegapunk resides, who has finally revealed his identity, after having been hidden by a lot of time.
Although the name of this island could be a clear reference to the fact that the greatest genius of all time is found there, it also seems to have a strange relationship with the King of the Pirates, since it is made up of a huge cracked egg resembling the one Gol D. Roger carried at some point on the deck of his ship as seen in Volume 96 which showed the last part of this crew’s journey.
Eiichiro Oda never made a statement about that mysterious egg. However, the fans went crazy and began to make various theories about this particular topic, which apparently will be addressed in this new arc.
In chapter #1061 of the manga, Luffy and his crew arrive at Egghead, the island said to be 500 years in the future and where Dr. Vegapunk’s laboratory is also located. Upon reaching this place, the Straw Hats realize that in this place there is a huge cracked egg that is part of it, although it is cloudy, it could be speculated that it is the same one that Roger carried on his ship.
On the other hand, the egg in Egghead appears to be cracked, implying that what was inside has hatched. This has fueled the multiple theories surrounding this mystery, one of which has gained the greatest strength is that a dragon was inside it, since One Piece has made several references to these creatures on several occasions.
