Summary of the previous chapter
Mikey asks Takemichi why he went back to the past. Takemichi tells him about the events that happened in the present, where Mikey shot him and made a suicide attempt which Takemichi stopped in time by promising to save the past from him. Taiju listens to his exchange and wonders not knowing what is going on. Meanwhile, Haruchiyo gets up and attacks Taiju from behind.
Afterwards, Haruchiyo, who also overheard their conversation, refuses to let Takemichi have his way, explaining that he doesn’t realize that Mikey’s tragic fate was already sealed since childhood. Hanma appears at her side and discovers that Takemichi is the only Toman member still standing, but Chifuyu bursts in and charges Hanma with a kick, which Hanma deflects with a punch.
