the past days December 9, 10 and 11 we were able to attend the event 28 Manga Barcelonaone of the largest manga salons in Spain located in Fira Barcelona Gran Vía. There we were able to experience one of the best experiences in the world of anime and video games.
Although it has cost sweat and tears (especially cost) to get the tickets, we have managed to enter the hall every day to see what awaits us inside the Manga Barcelona of this year 2022.
This has been the experience of the 28 Manga Barcelona
In this great hall we have been able to find the members of the team behind Crunchyroll Spainwhich were doing a series of raffles with guaranteed prizes, among which were posters, mini posters, postcards, pins or bookmarks, to name a few.
Said stand has been one of the smallest there has been, although it had a small area dedicated to taking a picture with Anya Forger, from SPY x FAMILY. A visitor to the event has offered to take a photo so you can see the beautiful dedicated venue where we can feel next to Anya as if we were in his Instagram post.
The second stand that we have been able to find in Manga Barcelona has been that of select visionwhere they offered us their products, among which were volumes of My Hero Academia and other anime from the distributor, toyes as movies and episode packs on DVD.
In addition, there was also merchandising such as collectible action figures from Dragon Ball Super Y one piecee to buy along with the typical posters if we wanted it that way, there were even figures from Re:Zero!
To the right of the stand dedicated to the Selecta Visión store we have been able to see some episodes of Guardians of the Night: Kimetsu no Yaiba in Catalan together with many other visitors who they also waited with us in the crowd. In this stand there was also a place to take some photos with some members of the cast of My Hero Academia that I imagine has been as a promotion for its sixth season.
Although for this occasion we had not found any volunteer to take a photo and you could see how the stand would look with one more in the image.
Further on we could find one of the largest stands: the Norma Editorial stand. In this stand sleeves prevailed like those of Tokyo Revengers in its Catalan edition (above all because of the huge publicity that we could find around it) together with others such as volume 12 of Chainsaw Man (and his previous volumes, of course) as well as those of Ao Ashi and Heavenly Delusion (highly recommended, by the way).
In addition, there have been curious novelties such as Four Knights of the Apocalypse (which by the way we have gotten hold of the first volume) and far from that and although it is not part of the event, in the Friqui Triangle of Barcelona located next to the Arc de Triomf We have been able to get hold of the last three volumes of the Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days comic at the official Norma Cómics storewhere they also sold figures like the ones from Manga Barcelona.
Being one of the largest stands, they wanted to take the opportunity to leave a fairly wide margin of their entire catalog, among which are exclusivities from the publisher and news from it such as figures, light novels, manga and much more. Without a doubt, being able to visit a stand like this has been a great experience of the event. (and it almost got out of hand with so many figures in between!)
But of course Norma Editorial was not going to be left without a long-awaited section such as that of signatures, since the winners of the 2020 and 2021 Manga Contest have been present to give a signature to everyone who wants one of them.
And despite the fact that this is not a Nintendo website but an Xbox one, yes we wanted to mention above that Nintendo was present at the event with many stands scattered around one of the Manga Barcelona pavilions. In them, those in charge supervised a prize-winning competition for Splatoon 3, the latest installment of the Nintendo shooter saga.
In addition, it has not only dedicated stands to competitions, but He has also dedicated several of them to free-plays sections (or play for free) with several of his titles such as Super Mario Party and Nintendo Switch Sportsfamily games that everyone likes to play a few quick games.
Nintendo has wanted to climb one more pillar than Norma Editorial and has created a place with a large screen where they will not only be able to play for free, but there are also several guests and among them are Steyb and RayBacon! Perhaps those of you who have a Nintendo Switch will know Steyb for his challenges and multiple ways to beat the Super Mario Odyssey game.
Or RayBacon will sound familiar to you, mostly known for his vlog-type videos, tip videos and whose channel is 100% Nintendero. On the other hand, unfortunately we have not been able to play with the three invited Youtubers, since the queue to play was quite long and remember that time is gold. And no, because they were only there the first day, we have not been able to speak with the guests either. next time it will be!
Best Netflix Anime (2022)

bandai namco It has also been present this year at the 28 Manga Barcelona offering us to buy their most outstanding products that were mainly focused on their official figures of high quality such as a mini Melina figure from Elden Ring, other Deku figures from My Hero Academia, Naruto from Naruto Shippuden, or even one of Kirito from Sword Art Online (which by the way cannot be purchased online at the moment due to how sold out they are).
On the other hand, in another of the pavilions it was dedicated to the rest area and chat area where we were able to attend some. Specifically, we attended a talk where they explained to us the great importance of both scriptwriters and cartoonists and the importance that they are synchronized and know how to communicate correctly to make the best decisions.
We were also in another talk where they taught how to draw manga style to create our own manga or comic (worth the redundancy). These talks or workshops are not bad at all, especially because of how educational they can be.
There were also other famous figures in the room, such as iLuTV and its new publishing house, which it has called Kibook Ediciones, with its, for the moment, only published manga called “Bibliomania«. At his booth he was handing out signatures and taking photos with many of his loyal fans.
In addition, we have also found Darth Vader camouflaged as another human trying to annihilate a member of the Stormtroopers using the Force, isn’t it incredible?
And to finalize a bit what the event was, during the three days we were in Barcelona there were premieres of movies and episodes that could be seen on the big screen for free. Also, some K-Pop concerts were also done (that in fact there was quite a public and also a lot of emotion among all the visitors and attendees.
Usually it was probably one of the greatest event experiences I have personally been able to visiteither because it is a new place, the people I have met along the way or the same gigantic place that is inside the event with so many stands and commercial stalls.
