After defeating the demon lord Hadlar, all the monsters were released from his evil control and moved to the island of Delmurin to live peacefully. Fly (Dai) is the only human who resides there.
Having been raised by the monster Brass, his dream is to become a hero. He sees an opportunity to achieve this goal when he learns that Hadlar has been resurrected and that Avan, the previous hero, has come to train him.
