New animated project announced for Tokyo Revengers
A bit of begging has been done, but finally the continuation of the anime from Tokyo Revengers. It was during an event of the series in which, through a compilation video of the first season, it was revealed that it is a new animated project in production who will adapt the arch «Seiya Kessen» (in Spanish «Decisive Battle on Christmas Eve»), popularly known among fans of the manga de Ken Wakui as «Arch of Black Dragon«.
Ken Wakui began publishing Tokyo Revengers in March 2017 in the magazine Weekly Shônen Magazine, from Kodansha and currently the work remains open although it has already entered its final arc. The series currently has a total of 24 volumes compilations for sale. The manga won the award for Best Shônen in the 44th edition of Kodansha Manga Awards 2020.
In addition to this, the work has an animated adaptation that aired between April and September 2021 with a total of 24 episodes. The study Liden Films (Deadman Wonderland, Gangsta) was in charge of project management, while Yasuyuki Muto (Deadman Wonderland) was the screenwriter. Kenichi Ohnuki (Golden Kamuy) was in charge of character design and Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Jujutsu Kaisen, Children of the Whales) of the composition of the music. In addition, Warner Bros. Japan is behind the Film adaptation from Tokyo Revengers, which premiered on July 9, becoming number one at the Japanese box office in its opening weekend. The tape is directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa, who was already in command of the live-action of Kakegurui.
In Spain, Editorial Standard publish this manga shonen and he has done it in a spectacular double volume edition 400 pages and size 11.5 x 17.5 cm., with double dust jacket Y periodicity monthly. The publisher offered for the launch of the work a initiation pack with the first two volumes at the reduced price of 16€. The third volume will be available from January 14, 2022.
