Stand By Me Doraemon 2 to premiere on Netflix
Through your application, Netlflix Spain confirm the premiere of the movie Stand By Me Doraemon 2 for this same month of December. This new CGI cinematic installment of Doraemon will debut on the on-demand streaming platform next Dec. 24, just four days after its premiere in Japanese theaters. Through the trailer available in the application we can listen to the dubbing into Spanish.
This second 3D CGI movie from Doraemon once again has the same production team as Stand By Me Doraemon. So that, Takashi Yamazaki (Returner, Always: Sunset on Third Street, Ballad, Space Battleship Yamato) writes the script for the feature film, as well as directing it alongside Ryûichi Yagi (Penelope head in the air, Moyashimon 3D CG).
It also has the same voice cast as the first installment, with Satoshi Tsumabuki In the role of Nobita in its adult version, while Nobuko Miyamoto once again voices the grandmother of Nobita. Other recognized voices from the anime of Doraemon repeat role as is the case of Wasabi Mizuta What Doraemon, Megumi Oohara giving voice to Nobita, Yumi Kakazu What Shizuka, Subaru Kimura What Giant and Tomokazu Seki What Suneo.
As for its predecessor, Stand By Me Doraemon, it premiered on August 8, 2014 and was the first film in the franchise to use 3D CGI technology. The direction was carried out by Takashi Yamazaki (Returner, Always: Sunset on Third Street, Ballad, Space Battleship Yamato) y Ryûichi Yagi ()Penelope head in the air, Moyashimon 3D CG). Meanwhile, the script was written by Ryūichi Yagi (Dragon Quest Your Story, Penelope head in the air) and the music was composed by Naoki Satō (Eureka Seven, Blood-C).
Nobita, who is quite clumsy, is visited by Sewashi, a boy who claims to be her great-great-grandson from the 22nd century. Sewashi, explains to Nobita that, if he continues as before, his future and that of his successors will be a disaster. He then lends him his robot Doraemon to help him have a happy life. At first Doraemon doesn’t think Nobita has a solution, but they soon become good friends and the cosmic cat changes his mind.
This first film by Stand By Me Doraemon came to Spain from the hand of Luk Internacional and Alfa Pictures, being screened in theaters in October 2015. Later it was released on DVD and Blu-Ray by Select Vision. In addition to this film, in Spain fans of Doraemon have enjoyed multiple films of the franchise in commercial theaters, being the last to be released Doraemon Adventure in Antarctica.
