Tatsuhisa Suzuki will no longer be the voice of Ken Ryuguji (Draken) in the second season of the Tokyo Revengers anime.
A few days ago we woke up to a piece of news that we didn’t like too much. The official website of Tokyo Revengers announced that one of his most beloved characters would have a Voice change (That which we who consume dubbed audiovisual content fear so much). The Japanese seiyuu, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, who voiced Draken in the first season of Tokyo Revengers, has been removed from the anime.

Suzuki did not attend the event organized on December 18, in which it was announced that the second season (confirmed and in process) will treat the christmas bow. A few days later, the official website published that Suzuki would not participate in this project with the following statement.
We want to announce that Tatsuhisa Suzuki, who until now played the role of Ken Ryuguji (Draken), will be replaced after a series of talks between the production committee and the voice actor’s office. The cast and staff are already working together to produce the new season of the anime.
In July, Tatsuhisa Suzuki was involved in a controversy related to an infidelity to his wife, singer LiSa, reported by the Weekly Bunshun. In August, he decided to have a break from the entertainment industry, and has abandoned various projects since then. For example, the character of Anos Voldigoad, to whom he gave voice to Mao Gakuin no Futekigosha (The Misfit of Demon King Academy) until replaced by Yuichiro Umehara.

Among Suzuki’s works, the character of Ban (Nanatsu no Taizai / The Seven Deadly Sins), Kazunari Takao (Kuroko no Basket) o Shinya Hiragi (Owari no seraph). The character who voiced in Tokyo Revengers was the young man Ken Ryuguji, apodado Draken (He literally has a dragon tattooed on one side of his face). This boy, along with many others, are part of a gang of bikers that does not hesitate to face anyone who messes with them. For the moment it is not known who will replace Suzuki.
