Well, who would have thought that Mikey died in the original timeline? Many things make sense now. The final chapter finally told us how Shinichiro discovered Time Leaping. The chapter begins four years after Mikey’s vegetative state. High school Shinichiro and Baji are about to recover haruchiyo. In fact, they head to the prison where Haruchiyo served his sentence and would be released that day. Baji laughs at him because he’s crazy for executing a group of thugs with a Katanka who insulted Mikey.
After retrieving it, they all go to Mikey’s house. But his condition was worse than before. Mikey is now too dead. Baji and Haruchiyo’s conversation reveals that Shinichiro gave up his life and became Mikey’s caretaker. Meanwhile, his grandfather had died and Emma had run away from home.
The panel that follows reveals even more shocking news. On July 20, Mikey passed away. Shinichiro loses his mind after trying so hard to help Mikey get over his vegetative state; From shady deals to therapy to religious groups, Shinichiro tried everything he could.
Following this scenario, Shinichiro visits one of his friends, who advises him to join his gang. They head to a host club where Shinichiro overhears a group of gang taunting homeless people claiming that he can jump back in time. They didn’t believe him because he said he couldn’t do it without a trigger.
Shinichiro immediately walks up to them and beats them up for information on this homeless man. The chapter ends with Shinichiro standing with a stoic face asking the same thing.

The last chapter explains how the time jump first appeared. However, there is still no answer about its origin and how it can manifest. Wakui is unlikely to give the time leap ability an origin story.
As for Shinichiro, future chapters will probably show that Shinichiro could be the trigger for that person. However, this will further complicate the deadlines. Also, why would this person work with Shinichiro if he has nothing to do with Mikey or his brother? So, we’ll have another plot twist on this.
On the other hand, Baji and others have been close to Shinichiro. So, it would be another twist if he shared this secret with them. This would mean that everyone knew how to jump back in time in the original timeline.
Finally, all the weird timelines where someone keeps dying make sense now. Time jumps keep someone alive who wasn’t meant to be alive. So compensating someone else ends up being the cost. It would also mean that Shinichiro found a way to transfer time by jumping to Takemichi after calculating everything. So, did Shinichiro willingly allow Kazutora to kill him?
There are many such questions that only the next few chapters can answer.

Chapter 271 will be released on September 28, 2022, according to the manga’s weekly schedule. Fortunately for us, manga rarely take a break, so we have had a steady release of chapters so far.
