This week, in the 51st annual issue of Shōnen Magazine from the publisher Kôdansha, the final chapter of the manga tokyo revenge has been pre-published. Nevertheless, fans will still have something to eat with a whole salvo of books as well as an exhibition and a new spin-off.
The exhibition dedicated to Ken Wakui and his work will be held around November 2023 in the Tokyo district of Roppongi. Long before that, the series will continue for 8 chapters called “Extra” which will return to the youth of the founding members of Tokyo Manji.
The conclusion of the manga will also be celebrated in Japanese bookstores on January 17, 2023, when the 31st and final volume of the main story will be released. That same day, six other volumes related to the saga will appear, including the first volume of the spin-off Tokyo Revengers: Baji Keizuka kara no Tegami (“Keisuke Baji’s letter“) of Yukinori Natsukawaguchias well as the fifth volume of Todai Revengerssigned parody derivative Shinpei Funatsu. On the guidebook side, a fourth book (the title of which remains to be determined) will be published. Finally, lovers of colorized versions will be able to discover the second volume of short stories fully in color, a second opus called Stay Gold, as well as the first two parts of the full color edition of the series. With the anime’s second season and the next two live-action movies, Japanese fans will have plenty to eat for the next year.
On our side, volume 20 of the manga was published this week by Glénat editions, while the first season of the anime remains available on VOD on Crunchyroll.
