Tokyo Revengers will have a spin-off parody
Last Tuesday October 26th, from the official account of Twitter and from the Web page of the magazine Magazine Pocket from Kodansha, I know revealed than the manga Tokyo Revengersby Ken Wakui is inspiring a parody manga titled Tōdai Revengers.
It is spin-off will start be published the November 3 of this year. Shinpei Funatsu is drawing the manga and as reported, the parody will be a time travel comedy centered on the University of Tokyo.
Wakui began publishing the manga of Tokyo Revengers on the Weekly Shōnen Magazine in March 2017, it has a total of 24 volumes compilations and although it continues to be published, it has already entered its final arc. The work won the award for Best Shōnen at the 44th edition of the Kodansha Manga Awards 2020.
The work has an animated adaptation that aired between April and September 2021 with a total of 24 episodes. The Liden Hatsumi studio (Deadman Wonderland, Gangsta) is in charge of project management, while Yasuyuki Muto (Deadman Wonderland) is the screenwriter. Kenichi Ohnuki (Golden Kamuy) was in charge of character design and Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Jujutsu Kaisen, Children of the Whales) of music composition.
Secondly, Warner Bros. Japan took care of the Film adaptation from Tokyo Revengers, that the past was released July 9th clinching number one at the box office in Japanese theaters on its opening weekend. The film is directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa, who was already in command of the live-action of Kakegurui.
In Spain the manga comes from the hand of Editorial Standard, but it will not reach physical stores until 12th of November. As for the anime, the first season can be found at Crunchyroll in original version with Spanish subtitles.
Takemichi Hanagaki has hit rock bottom in his life. He closes his eyes thinking that he is going to die, but when he opens them, without knowing how, he has gone back 12 years in time. Now that he has returned to his best moment of life, Takemichi decides to take revenge for his life by saving his girlfriend and changing that way of being hers from which he always fled.
