This summer was announced a second live film from the manga tokyo revenge, not surprisingly given the great success that was the first opus, which brought in more than 6 billion yen at the Japanese box office. Recently, new information on the continuation of the project has been revealed.

Tokyo Revengers 2 will therefore be in two parts, two separate films that will be released in Japanese cinemas next year. Both will adapt the Bloody Halloween arc, also called the Valhalla arc by many. The first part, Tokyo Revengers 2: Chi no Halloween – Unmei (“Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween – Destiny“) will be released in the coming spring, during Golden Week. Its sequel, Tokyo Revengers 2: Chi no Halloween – Kessen (“Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween – Decisive Battle“) will be released in the summer of 2023. A first visual, showing the symbolic handshake between Takemichi and Naoto, has been unveiled.

Tsutomu Hanabusadirector of the first film, resumes his role on these two sequels while the cast will remain unchanged. Takumi Kitamura will therefore continue to interpret Takemichi Hinagaki, alongside Ryo Yoshizawa as Manjiro “Mikey” Sano, Yuki Hamada in that of Ken “Draken” Ryûgûji, and Mio Imada in that of Hinata Tachibana.

Launched in 2017, Ken Wakui’s Tokyo Revengers manga concluded today in Shônen Magazine, with its 278th chapter. It will thus total 31 volumes, the last opus being planned for Japan on January 17, 2023. With us, the title appears at Glénat editions, the 21st volume having been published today.
